Three Things I Learned From West Point
Certain life experiences define us…and forge our beliefs. Going from Alabama to the US Military Academy at West Point was a defining occasion in my life. Here are three things that looking back on that experience will follow me forever.
- None of us are our circumstances. Each and everyone has “will” and makes choices that define who we become.
- Great leaders live to “serve”, not to “lead” and “cry” as much a they “command”.
- Know what you believe so others can believe you and believe in you.
